HEADQUARTERS

Dudley Ventures is proud to call the historically significant Arizona Hardware Supply Company on 22 East Jackson Street in Phoenix, home. Constructed in 1930, this warehouse was a loading facility for the much larger Arizona Hardware Supply Company headquarters across the street. Its design was modest and functional. The 9,700 square-foot brick building was designed to store hardware goods and conveniently allow for their pick up. The central door on street grade allowed for trucks to enter the building with a channel running the length of the building for exit at the rear. Two bays on either side off the main entrance allowed for unloading of goods from the rail line located immediately in front of the building.

Dudley Ventures preserved the historically significant exterior and interior portions of this important landmark and restored the primary façade as authentically as possible.

The Arizona Hardware Supply Company Warehouse is now one of only 16 individually designated historic buildings in the “Jackson Street Entertainment District” and was a recipient of the 2010 Governor’s Heritage Preservation Award. This noteworthy warehouse compliments the surrounding neighborhood and provides a catalyst for future development. Dudley Ventures worked with city agencies and their resources to effectively restore and redevelop the building in support of the ongoing efforts of the City of Phoenix to revitalize the downtown business district.

Dudley Ventures closed the transaction in February 2009 utilizing Historic Tax Credits and $4.35 million in New Markets Tax Credits financing from multiple tax credit allocatees.
