Abigail Warren, Memphis Commercial Appeal - High school freshmen walked into a new learning experience Monday at Crosstown Concourse, where Crosstown High began its first day of school with 150 students. The school had asked 200 students and some educators what they would like to see in a school. Students said they wanted more diversity and hands-on learning, according to Ginger Spickler, Crosstown High's director of strategic partnerships and projects.
