Quaker Windows
Eldon, Missouri

Quaker Window Products Co. (Quaker) has expanded its manufacturing capabilities with the construction and equipping of a 250,000 SF facility in Eldon, Missouri. Founded in 1949 and family-owned, Quaker is a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial window and door products in the United States and currently employs more than 1,000 people in multiple locations. Located in a severely distressed rural area, the Eldon facility expansion created 250 full-time jobs and 72 construction jobs. Highly accessible, 90% of these new jobs are available to individuals with only a high school diploma. Quaker has formed a partnership with the local high school and community college to create a pipeline for workforce development. The average annual wage will be higher than the area’s MIT living wage, and all full-time employees will have access to a full suite of benefits. The Eldon community has seen many jobs leave the region, and Quaker will play a strategic role in working to help in its resurgence. The labor market created difficulties in attracting rural workers, causing Quaker to increase recruitment costs and increase in wages for existing and new jobs. To offset a portion of these costs, and to keep the expansion on schedule, Quaker utilized NMTC financing. Without the support of NMTC financing, Quaker would not have been able to make this investment in the region.
